Position Title:  Clubhouse Specialist 

 

Job Type:  Part and full-time positions available 

 

Salary:  $23-28 / hour depending on experience and qualifications 

 

Benefits:

Schedule: 

  • Hours range between 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday.  Some evening and weekend requirements  

 

Ability to commute/relocate: 

  • Park City, UT 84098.  Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work  

 

Who we are:  

Clubhouses are supportive, community - based centers for people living with mental illness and substance abuse challenges.  Clubhouses are organized around a belief that work is deeply restorative and provides a firm foundation for recovery.  At SCC, members and staff work side-by-side to carry out all Clubhouse operations.  Members are also connected with resources for employment, education and housing.  With this deep and wholistic support, Clubhouse helps break cycles of instability and isolation caused by mental illness.

Position Summary:

The Clubhouse Specialist engages members in the day-to-day work of running the Clubhouse business.  The job of a Specialist is to manage Clubhouse business and administrative tasks, while also helping members learn new skills, hone their talents and make progress toward their goals. 

 

Position responsibilities: 

  • Actively engage members in business, accounting and communications work.   

  • Oversee a detail-oriented process of accounting for all SCC financial transactions.   

  • Help members with individual education, career, housing, wellness, and socialization goals. 

  • Help members identify and access community and social service resources. 

  • Provide support in a person-centered, goal-oriented, trauma-informed and culturally competent approach.   

  • Provide member transportation using the 12 passenger Clubhouse van.  

  • Attend and participate in outreach activities in the community. 

  • Maintain organized and accurate information and produce descriptive case notes. 

  • Coordinate and attend clubhouse social and recreational programs. 

  • Perform related duties as assigned by a supervisor. 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Energetic, positive individual with the ability to motivate people. 

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, Canva, social media platforms, etc).  

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Strong interpersonal skills; builds rapport with people from many different backgrounds. 

  • Well organized; able to create systems and procedures for repetitive tasks and activities. 

  • Able to coordinate and participate in small and large group activities. 

  • An interest in social practice and the Clubhouse model is highly preferred. 

  • Likes to have fun! 

 

Education, Experience and Credentials: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. 

  • Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred. 

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.  

  • Must pass a background check. 

  • Candidates with professional or lived experience in mental health are encouraged to apply. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully. 

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
